Maxcom couldn’t be absent by this year’s MWC, as the well-known Polish company has shown for another year a strong portfolio with classic feature phones and smartphones, with a view, of course, to economy and accessibility.

At Maxcom’s booth we had the opportunity to test and learn more about some devices, to play with them and thus get a first taste of their potentials. Maxcom’s objective is devices to become more “friendly”, based primarily on user experience. This category also includes the Maxcom MS553 FS, a smartphone designed to provide greater security to elderly users who are looking for a proposal that can meet their everyday needs

(and of course this doesn’t mean that it cannot be used by younger people).

That’s why Maxcom has installed a highly-friendly application in MS553 named  “Maxcom Friendly Screen App” , which effectively enables people who are not specifically related to the world of smartphones to be able to handle them more easily. The Maxcom Friendly Screen Application offers six basic features: “SOS, Gallery, Contacts, Camera, SMS and Settings” and as you will see from the hands-on video that follows, this is definitely a solution that greatly helps to use a smartphone.

As for its technical features, the MS553 is part of the entry-level category, offering a 5.5 inches display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, plus a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie cam. At its heart is a quad-core SoC (with its cores clocked at 1.45GHz), it has a fingerprint sensor on the back, plus its battery capacity is 3300mAh.
